On the 15th April 2019 a fire spread through the magnificent Notre Dame cathedral in Paris destroying a lot of the strcuture. I had visited the cathedral with my eldest daughter in May 2019 and caught some pictures which show the building before the fire and restoration.
The cathdedral is located on the isalnd called Ile de Paris. The foundation stone was laid in 1163 and construction continued on the site of 2 previous churches till it was completed in 1345.
